Dynamic content direct mail and web to direct mail applications require logic to extract data and creatively apply those to make compelling appeals to customers and/or prospects. He earned his BSJ School of Journalism, University Of Kansas and completed PDM (Professional Direct Marketing Certification) from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Career: Scott can review spread-sheets, develop circulation plans, eyeball forecasting P&L’s, structure response reports, break-even projections, or write feasibility studies as he did for ten years at J. Schmid & Associates.  He is equally comfortable critiquing layouts, writing copy, organizing or directing photo shoots and guiding other aspects of the creative process. He headed the Direct Division at Barkley & Evergreen, launched the Commercial Division at Summit Marketing, was Sales Director for Words & Data and he began his career as account executive at Dun & Bradstreet’s Marketing Division.  Scott has planned and/or executed direct marketing campaigns for targeted consumer programs and a variety of business-to-business applications.  His client profile ranges from Big Blue Chips to small Mom & Pops and everything in-between. Business/Civic Affiliations: Adjunct Professor of “Integrated Media” at KU’s Edward’s Campus.  Kansas City Direct Marketing Board member and served as President.  Selected KCDMA’s Direct Marketer of the Year in 1995.  Scott has presented at local, regional and national shows and conferences.   He’s a founding board member of Solace House and served for years on marketing board for the Red Cross and UMKC Advisory Board member for the Bloch School. Personal: Scott enjoys reading, swimming, biking, pontooning, hunting, golfing and the arts.  He serves as Head Deaconate for his church and is active with his neighborhood association. And actively plays Grandpa with his two granddaughters.
